Running almost an hour, the French documentary explores the development and importance of the Talmud. It tells the story of how the Talmud developed, identifies the principal teachers who were in their development, the development of the Talmud, the Jewish people in Europe and America, and finally tried the importance of the Talmud up modern Judiasm. As there are only so far as can be covered in one hour, this is obviously an overview of the topic for non-Jews interested thought. The best part of this documentary is an entertaining follow Mock (at least I think it’s funny) Talmudic-style debate between two men, regular breaks in the offers of other facts, and it gives a good idea how the Talmud taught and studied.

  2. My purchased this DVD and I can say that it has fulfilled my expectations! I wanted to learn more about the history of the Talmud and the Oral Torah, the book is the story.

The accompanying documentation are the real heart of this DVD, Rabbi Jacobson said many unresolved questions about the history of the Talmud (Yirshalimi and Babli) and said the allegations against the other to keep the Talmud. If you’re a Jew or a Gentile who is interested in learning more about the game “method” to honor the musical, then this DVD is for you.
